Sparkles and Spirit (3-5) 

45 minutes

Discover gymnastics and movement to music. Learn coordination, body skills, balance and tumbling. Use of ribbons, balls, hoops, scarves and end with the performance of a fun group routine.

Rhythmic Kindergym (3-5) 

 30 minutes

For beginners. Combine dance, ballet, and gymnastics all into one with the use of hand held apparatus such as ribbon, hoop, ball, rope and scarves! Children will learn body movements and coordination through the use of music and hand held apparatus. Each class will involve some basic tumbling as well as some fun games and a chance to learn the basics of this wonderful sport. Participants in this level will also learn a routine to music throughout the session.

Performance Gymnaestrada Program

This program integrates the best of gymnastics into a high energy class. Gymnasts will learn acrobatics and partner lifts, aesthetic waves and dance, as well as unique hand-held apparatus in this beautiful combination of performance gymnastics – one of its kind on the island!

This program runs for 10 months from September to June, ending with Year End Shows.

Strada3Gymnaestrada Aqua is a 60 minute class for new and returning younger gymnasts (approx. ages 6-8) with lots of energy. See Class Times Below:

A great class for gymnasts with some dance, artistic gymnastics or rhythmic gymnastics experience. Take rhythmic skills to the next level, build on strengths and take on new challenges in body movement, dance, performance apparatus and routines. Gymnasts will have the opportunity to perform both small and large routines.

Team CanadaNational Gymnaestrada Team

One class per month from September to June to learn the routines for the National Gymnaestrada taking place on the June 29-July 1st weekend (as a part of Canada Day celebrations) in Richmond, BC.

Classes run 10am-1pm at Shoreline – $50 per month, $100 costume fee and estimated $450 for travel and event registration. See detailed schedule below.

Gymnasts of all ages and disciplines (artistic, rhythmic, trampoline, acro) are welcome to join us. Parents are also encouraged and welcome to join the troupe as we prepare for this exciting event in Vancouver. The 2018 National Gymnaestrada also acts as qualifying event for the 2019 World Gymnaestrada in Austria. This year we will work on the routine that we will prepare to take to this international event.

All are welcome to come and try it out, even if you’re not yet sure about joining the team for the World Gymnaestrada. If you know you want to go to Worlds, then come join us and help us qualify.

Train 1.5-3 hours a week (recommended working towards two classes per week) to build upon key elements: body, apparatus, mind, performance, competition, team and community. Participate in competitions on the mainland or here in Victoria, perform at community and gala events. Build sportsmanship and create friendships! This program runs for 10 months from September to June, ending with Year End Shows.

We require 1 month notice to cancel registration.

TRAINING UNIFORM: The uniform for this class is black shorts, black tank top, white socks or toe shoes/sock and hair in a bun. All gymnasts will need to get their own skipping rope by November.

Take your gymnastics to the next level with this competitive program. The focus is working towards personal goals, competitions and performance. Participate in competitions within BC and maybe even in other provinces! Mondays and Saturdays are considered core days and gymnasts must attend at least one of these days per week but it is recommended to do both where possible. Train 6-16 hours a week (minimum two-three days per week depending on level) to build upon key elements: body, apparatus, mind, performance, competition, team and community. Compete in BC, across Canada and internationally.  This program runs for 10 months from September to June.
